Unit 1 Assessment///

Introduction

There’s a lot I want to do with this MA: make, learn, research, collaborate, connect, exhibit, teach. I have chosen this course to push myself and my practice.

In my practice there are particular motifs that I realise again and again. Change, death, language and belief. The passage and place of transformation. Navigating change. My work is a study of these phenomena, with a desire to understand and help others understand a little more.

LO1::: Formulate, describe and implement a challenging and self-directed programme of study, relating to your Study Statement:::

1  FORMULATE///

Identification of Derrida’s work in being key to identifying an specific approach to analysis for my interests, facilitating fluid and elusive ideas, especially through writing and language.

2  DESCRIBE///

Exploration of connections made between 3 differing movies, all touching on similar themes of death as transformation and places of transformation, expanding on ideas I am exploring in my own practice regarding ‘The Liminal’
